We hope you find some inspiration here to locate the perfect wedding venue to suit your style. From swanky and modern to campy and fun, the Mitten State has you covered!
Sonshine Barn in Gaylord, Michigan, has one of the most beautiful barns we have ever seen! It’s down home and elegant at the same time, kinda like when you wear your diamond earrings with your favorite worn in jeans.
Sonshine Barn includes a farmhouse that sleeps 24 of your favorite people, a clubhouse for the boys (complete with a basketball court, a pool table, and video games), and a marvelous bridal suite for the girls.
The farm boasts 33 acres of rolling land that overlooks the most amazing sunsets!
The staff here is amazingly helpful, and they have a VERY extensive selection of rental items, and can provide decoration services. This is great, as it gives you more time to shoot some pool with your future Father in law, or sit on the front porch with your Mom!
Waterview Loft at Port Detroit
If you are planning on a more modern and urban soiree, Waterview Loft at Port Detroit has it all!
The sense here is definitely cosmopolitan! What could be better than a strolling dinner of handcrafted recipes and responsibly sourced delights while enjoying sweeping views of the Detroit River and the Canadian skyline!? Downstairs, the conservatory and outdoor patio lend a stylish and loungey vibe for the afterglow. Swanky!
Cushing Field House – Holly Township, Oakland County
Think Anthropologie dating Restoration Hardware. Charming and rustic, Cushing Field House is meticulously decorated inside and out! The attention to every detail was not spared! The grounds and gardens would make Martha Stewart jealous. There are suites for both the bride and groom, a lounge area with a fireplace, a beautifully furnished reception room (okay, we are talking an 18′ hand-crafted head table made of walnut here!), and an outdoor patio area with a fire pit for your guests to mingle around.
A new favorite on the list of Michigan’s best wedding venues.
Happy Camp weddings for happy campers. (Say that five times fast.)
A summer camp wedding experience, is a big favorite venue for Michiganders! This one at Camp Walden in Cheboygan brings a sense of nostalgia.
Get out your canoes and binoculars and go to summer camp one more time! Michigan has TONS of summer camp venues! Camp weddings have become a big trend, as many couples are foregoing large weddings in lieu of something a bit more fun, intimate, and sentimental. And to be honest, these are some of our favorite Michigan wedding venues! What could be better than spending the days on the lake and the nights under the stars with your crew? Choose to watch fireflies or fireworks. And your best man may just meet his summer crush!
Addison Oaks Buhl Estate – Leonard, Michigan
A favorite Michigan wedding venue with a vintage aesthetic, the Buhl Estate at Addison Oaks will make you feel as though you’ve stepped back in time. This English Tudor style mansion is set amidst 750 acres of woodlands dotted with willows and water. You can choose to marry in the garden outside, or have an intimate ceremony in front of the stone fireplace in the garden room. The banquet room, with it’s walls of wood and old world charm is surrounded by a large patio to enjoy the view of the spring fed pond. The staff here is incredibly helpful and accommodating.
BlueBridge Event Centre – Grawn, Michigan
Some of the best wedding venues in Michigan have that “Up North” vibe! Located in Grawn, Michigan, near Traverse City. BlueBridge Events Centre hosts three different rustic, elegant, and comfortable spaces for your celebration. The McCrumb family treats you like one of their own as they host your wedding. The wedding coordinator becomes your best friend, as she pays attention to every little detail to make sure your day runs as smoothly as possible. There is a small sweet vineyard, lots of little woodsy secret spots to steal a kiss, a large pine forest, and a little lake not too far down the road. Combine that with the great folks that run the place and you won’t want to leave!
